Joyful Voices
(Text: Dagmar Romann nach amerikanischen Vorlagen)

A lonely voice is singing a song of loneliness. A lonely voice is singing a song. Each voice for itself is like a little star in the universe. But no one has to be alone in this world. More and more people raise their joyful voices.

1. A time will come for singing
when all your tears are shed,
when sorrow's chains are broken
and broken hearts will mend.
The deaf will hear you singing
when silent tongues are freed.
The lame will join your dancing
when blind eyes learn to see.
Stand up! Clap your hands. Raise your joyful voices.

2. A time will come for singing
when trees will raise their boughs,
when men lay down their armor,
and hammer their swords into plows,
when beggars live as princes,
and orphans find their homes,
when prison cells are emptied,
and hatred has grown old.
Stand up! Clap your hands. Raise your joyful voices.

3. A time will come for singing
a hymn by hearts foretold,
that kings have sought for ages,
and treasured more than gold.
Its lyrics turn to silver
when sung in harmony.
The Lord of love will teach us
to sing its melody.
Stand up! Clap your hands. Raise your joyful voices.
We are singing for a world of peace and harmony. Stand up!

Song of Joy
(Text: Ralf Grössler nach Psalm 126)

Song of joy, song of joy, I will sing a song of joy.
I will raise my voice, to sing. I will sing a song of joy.
1. Those who sow in tears, will reap with songs of joy.
2. Those who trust in God, will see the light of joy.

Holy - Aus der "Mass of Joy
(Text: Liturgisch)

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord almighty.
The whole earth is full of his glory.

This is the day, the Lord has made;
let us exult and rejoice in it,
oh Lord save us, oh Lord deliver us,
blessed is he, who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna to the son of David,
blessed is he, who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest.
Hosanna to the son.

Josuah fit the battle of Jerico
(Text: Tradtitonal)

Josuah fit the battle of Jerico and the walls came tumblin' down.

1. You may talk about the king of Gideon,
you may talk about the king of Saul,
there's none like good old Josuah
at the battle of Jerico!

2. Right up to the walls of jerico
he marched with spear in hand,
"Go, blow them ram horns", Josuah cried,
"cause the battle am in my hand!"

3. Then Josuah had the people blow,
an' the trumpets with mighty sound,
an' they blew so awful loud and long
that the walls came tumblin' down!

Peace on Earth
(Text: Carl Strommen)

Peace on this good Earth.
Good will toward men.
And the Lord made heaven and earth,
the good Lord made heaven and earth.

Let me tell you 'bout the war,
Let me tell you 'bout the hate,
Let me tell you 'bout the poverty,
Let me ask you 'bout the love.

I say it: Peace on earth, good will toward men.

Oh when the Saints
(Text: Traditional)

Oh when the Saints go marchin' in,
I want to be among the number.

And when the stars begin to shine,
I want to be among the number.

When Gabriel blows in his horn,
I want to be among the number.

And when the sun refuse to shine,
I want to be among the number.

And when the moon has turned to blood,
I want to be among the number.

And when they gather round the throne,
I want to be among the number.

And on that halleluja day,
I want to be among the number.

Go tell it on the Mountain
(Text: Traditional; Strophen: John W. Work II)

Go tell it on the mountains, go tell it in the valleys, that my Jesus, my blessed Jesus is born.

Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere.
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.

1. While shepherds kept their watching
o'er silent flocks by night,
behold throughout the heavens
there shone a holy light.

2. The shepherds feared and trembled
when lo! above the earth
rang out the angels chorus
and hailed our saviour's birth!

People ev'rywhere want to hear the good news. Share the good news with ev'ryone around you, your brothers and sisters, your mothers and fathers, your friends and relations, wherever you meet them. Ey'rywhere and in all seasons tell them Jesus is born! We're gonna sing with the angels. Singing "Glory in the highest!"

The Lord bless you and keep you:
The Lord make his face to shine upon you
and be gracious unto you.

The Lord lift up the light
of his countenance upon you
and give you peace.

Amen.

All things bright and beautiful
(Text: C. F. Alexander)

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

Each little flow'r that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colours,
He made their tiny wings.

All things bright and beautiful, ...

The purpleheaded mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brightens up the sky.

The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them ev'ry one:

All things bright and beautiful, ...

He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.

All things bright and beautiful, ...

I will follow him (aus "Sister Act")
(Text: Norman Gimbel & Arthur Altman)

I will follow him,
follow him whereever he may go.
And near him I always will be,
nothing can keep me away.
He is my destiny.

I will follow him.
Ever since he touched my heart I knew.
There isn't an ocean to deep,
a mountain so high it can keep,
keep me away,
away from his love.

I love him.
And where he goes I'll follow.

I will follow him,
follow him whereever he may go....

I love him.
I'll follow.
True love.
Forever.

I love him.
And where he goes I'll follow.
He'll always be my true love
from now until forever.
There isn't an ocean to deep,
a mountain so high it can keep,
keep us away;
away from his love.

Oh Happy Day
(Text: Edward R. Hawkings)

Oh Happy Day!
When Jesus washed, he washed my sins away.
He taught me how to watch and pray,
to live rejoicing every day.
